Gmail in Outlook 2003-heb

Pop 3

  1. Make sure POP access is turned on for your Gmail account.
  2. pop.gmail.com under Incoming mail server (POP3).
  3. smtp.gmail.com under Outgoing mail server (SMTP).
  4. Click More Settings....and go to the Outgoing Server tab.
  5. Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
    Leave Use same settings as my incoming mail server selected.
  6. Go to the Advanced tab.
  7. Make sure This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked under both Incoming server (POP3): and Outgoing server (SMTP):.
    465 under Outgoing server (SMTP):
    995 under Incoming server (POP3):
  8. Now click Next > and then Finish.



Imap

  1. Make sure IMAP access is enabled in Gmail.
  2. imap.gmail.com - under Incoming mail server.
  3. smtp.gmail.com - under Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
  4. Click More Settings ....
    Go to the Outgoing Server tab.
    Make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
    Leave the default of Use the same settings as my incoming mail server intact.
  5. Go to the Advanced tab.
    Make sure This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) is checked under both Incoming server (IMAP): and Outgoing server (SMTP):.
    "993" appears under Server Port Numbers for Incoming Server (IMAP):.
    "465" under Server Port Numbers for Outgoing server (SMTP):.
    Click OK.
    Now click Next > and then Finish.
